Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An outpatient pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Staff Pharmacist to provide PRN coverage on an ongoing basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with recent experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting and has a flexible schedule.
Location:
- Outpatient pharmacy in Palo Alto, CA
Schedule:
- Tuesday and Wednesday shifts with potential weekend hours
- Hours flexible anytime between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and counsel patients on proper use
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to support comprehensive patient care
- Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medication records, including histories and interactions
- Manage inventory by ordering and restocking medications as needed
- Provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and other health products
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and medication-related questions
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Active and clear California Pharmacist License required
- Recent pharmacy experience is essential
- Outpatient pharmacy experience is highly preferred
- Flexibility in availability to accommodate scheduling needs
