Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of RRT experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital respiratory department
• Provides respiratory care for patients requiring emergency care, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Night shift, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Gray or black scrubs dress code

Requirements

• Active RRT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NBRC
• Active MI state license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted

Additional Information

• Interviews, examines, and assesses patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Consults with physicians to develop and create patient treatment plans
• Performs diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity
• Treats patients using chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and non-invasive methods such as CPAP and BIPAP therapies
• Monitors and maintains equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
• Local candidates within a 35 mile radius are considered local travelers with reduced travel rate
