Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Homecare Homebase/OASIS expertise for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC.

Details

• Home health setting covering assigned zip codes within Washington, DC based on staffing needs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• May be required to float to cover another zip code as needed
• Uses HCHB (Homecare Homebase) and PointCare EMR systems, along with OASIS documentation

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• DC license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years, including OASIS-E experience
• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
• Homecare Homebase and OASIS experience required
• Skilled in patient assessment, adaptive/assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, and skin integrity
• Experience with gait belt and Hoyer lift equipment
• Experience treating COPD, CHF, geriatric, and orthopedic patient populations
• Proficient in home exercise programs and patient/family education

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include home-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment across an assigned service area
• Clinicians use personal vehicles and must maintain valid licensure and insurance
• Mileage is reimbursed per company policy from first to last patient visit of the day
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks
• Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
