Certifications:

• BLS Certification
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
• Certified Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) via NBRC
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) via BRPT
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC

Must-Have:

• Minimum of 2 to 3 successful travel assignments
• Absolutely no canceled contracts on either party
• 3 years' experience as a CPSGT or RPSGT
• Evaluation scores of 3.5 to 4.0

Description:

Unit has 4 beds. Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 depending on patient needs. Required diagnoses/types of patients include pulmonary patients, OSA, CSA, OHS, COPD, and oxygen-dependent patients. Candidates must have experience with NATUS, scoring, NATUS sleep works, and MPR home units. Nurses are not required to titrate drips and there is no charge nurse on the unit assigned to take an assignment. RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV. There are no monitoring technicians or RN readings of strips on this unit. Self-scheduling is not allowed, but there is some flexibility with scheduling. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. There is no call or standby requirement. There are no floating requirements. Scrub color/dress code is navy blue. There is no formal orientation to the lab; a meeting will be arranged to familiarize the candidate with the department and schedule. Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week contract. Charting system used is EPIC.
