Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic IResponsible for repair, installation and general upkeep of manufacturing machinery and/or facility. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives. Maintains work area cleanliness.Roles and Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants or filters, following a set schedulePerform facility maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs, painting, replacing filters, painting, simple plumbing etc.Inspect and perform basic maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment using manual and power toolsPartner with senior mechanics to repair more complex manufacturing or facility equipmentWears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatoryJob Requirements:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredExperience: One (1) year relevant experienceFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructionsBasic math, computer and time-management skillsAbility to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frameKnowledge of machine repair, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright and/or general maintenanceMust exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgroundsActual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
