Michael Best is seeking an entry-to-mid level , driven, and organized full-time Management Coordinator in our Milwaukee, Waukesha, Chicago or Washington, DC Offices.
This role provides support to Michael Best Strategies' Managing Director and Michael Best's Chief Growth Officer. This position offers great experience for anyone considering a career in public affairs, government relations or legal fields. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Chief Growth in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to all aspects of a national government relations and public affairs firm. You will provide executive support and execute on administrative tasks and serve as a liaison between the managing director, strategies group leaders and law firm leadership, marketing, finance, recruiting, and human resources.
We believe in career development and progression - this role is a stepping-stone within the Firm. Our Management Coordinators often progress into business development, marketing, and strategic operations roles within the Firm.
What You'll Be Doing
- Complete a broad variety of tasks for the Managing Director, including:
- Manage an active calendar of appointments, agendas, meetings, and travel plans
- Compose and prepare highly confidential correspondence
- Create and compile executive and strategies leadership meeting materials and agendas including PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets
- Prioritize and follow-up on incoming issues and matters, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Discretion of the highest nature is mandatory
- Work closely and effectively with the Managing Director and the Strategies Leadership Team to keep them well informed and up to date on upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Proactively work with the Managing Director and Strategies Leadership team to collect necessary information and data needed for regularly occurring meetings or projects
- Prioritize conflicting needs under aggressive deadlines
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality
Job Requirements:
Knowledge Base & Education:
- Bachelor's degree required. Recent grads from any major are welcome to apply.
- Advanced level proficiency of Microsoft applications.
Adaptability:
- Ability to work 35-45 hours per week
- Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change.

Compensation is determined based on qualifications and experience.
