The Local Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods within regional areas, occasionally covering longer distances. This role requires working independently and collaboratively within a team, reporting primarily to a fleet manager or logistics coordinator. Utilizing tools such as electronic logging devices and mobile delivery apps, the Local Driver manages delivery routes with a focus on safety and efficiency while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Execute local deliveries ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs
• Navigate routes efficiently using electronic devices and mobile apps
• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Handle cargo securely and maintain the integrity of deliveries
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
• Adhere to all transportation regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and travel logs
• Practice and promote safety management at all times
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in local driving
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
