Registered Nurse Mother-Baby

Conduct clinical reviews and provide patient care in the Mother-Baby unit. Work night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required. Float within skill set including NICU to care for level II nursery patients. Administer assessments and provide education related to breastfeeding and postpartum care. Utilize skills such as IV management, medication administration, and newborn assessments. Support a patient-friendly environment through couplet care and family-centered practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in discharge education and safe transition planning for families. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout patient care processes. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient interactions effectively. Provide support and education for families regarding special care instructions and newborn care. Facilitate a comfortable and safe environment for patients and families. Engage in ongoing education and skill development within the nursing specialty.
