Security Officer

The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is monitoring the property by foot and golf cart, answering and relaying emergencies to management or emergency services. This is an unarmed, part-time position.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (may be required to perform any or all duties below):

• Circulate throughout the property on foot and by golf cart to ensure facilities are secure.
• Detect any suspicious activity and ensure doors and entry points are secure.
• Respond to emergency incidents, fire alarm calls, and conduct preliminary investigations; notify fire and/or other emergency services if not already summoned; accurately document information, both written form and with a camera.
• Take command and control of disturbances and disruptive behavior, involving authorities when required.
• Be able to formulate an accurate description of a car, suspect(s) activity and compile the information in an Incident Report.
• Notify management of emergency situations at the club.
• Perform other related tasks as directed by the Facilities Director.
• Follow safe workplace rules and practices in order to prevent on-the-job injuries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be flexible in hours and can work daytime and nighttime shifts
• Ability to write and communicate professionally.
• Ability to apply sound decision making.
• Must possess and present a Class "D" security officer license
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Reports To: Facilities Director

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or grip, and reach with hands and arms while performing standard duties.
• Frequently required to walk, talk, hear, and drive golf cart while on property.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to use common office equipment, telephone, two-way radio, computer, or tablet device.
