Part-Time Substitute Meal Transporter

The Part-Time Substitute Meal Transporter position with the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging gives you the chance to support older adults in a meaningful way. This role ensures that homebound seniors receive safe, reliable meal deliveries while maintaining clear records and communicating important information to the agency. As a Part-Time Substitute Meal Transporter, you will perform the following duties:

• Roster Management: Keep weekly service rosters with accurate dates, client information, and meal totals
• Meal Delivery: Deliver meals to client homes using the shortest and safest routes
• Client Communication: Report changes in client health or circumstances to the office promptly
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized case records and reconcile meal counts each week
• Vehicle Care: Maintain the delivery vehicle in clean and safe condition
• Safety Compliance: Place insulated containers (up to 30 pounds) into car and remove containers one meal at a time to deliver to client, and navigate stairs when needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Part-time substitute employment
• The selected candidate will train for six full weeks. Upon successful completion of training, candidate will be on call as needed.
• Note: Selected candidate must use their own personal vehicle to deliver meals.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Hourly Rate: $13.25 + mileage. In addition to the hourly rate, selected candidate will receive the current IRS mileage rate.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months of experience which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

• No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.

• Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lebanon County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lebanon County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
