The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery for complex part production.
• Perform precision machining operations to meet strict quality and tolerance specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining strategies.
• Lead the implementation of new machining technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience operating and programming CNC machinery (lathes, mills, etc.)
• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machining processes and equipment
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for program generation and optimization
