Full-time Job Category Org: Store Assistant Manager Job Description You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from your crew. Additional duties include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance & punctuality, arranging transportation to/from work, maintaining store cleanliness, marketing, profitability, operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory and completing associated paperwork, cleaning equipment and facility approximately daily, providing correct written instructions, and communicating verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Essential Functions / Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; rules to make correct monetary change; verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders; motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate, precise movements with speed; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen; navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within a designated delivery area; and the ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F or higher in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes. Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from oven up to and exceeding 500 °F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and pushing tasks described in detail, including lifting bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds and stacking onto shelves up to 72 high. Additional Information Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station and at the front counter, with a duration of approximately 30‑45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously during the day. Crouching/Squatting: Performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching: Continually performed up, down, and forward, reaching above 72 inches occasionally, and down to perform tasks such as scooping cornmeal or washing dishes. Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift. Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential, with frequent use of hands; shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists; manipulation of pizza peel and rolling cutter; pinching required in assembly of cardboard pizza boxes; ability to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes. Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel may be required.
