Material Handler

Role Description The Material Handler is a full-time, on-site role based in Jackson, WI. This position is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving steel materials throughout the facility and yard using appropriate equipment. Daily tasks include organizing and staging materials for production, preparing orders for shipment, and assisting with packing and labeling to meet customer and project requirements. The Material Handler will support shipping and receiving operations, verify incoming and outgoing materials, and maintain accurate inventory records. This role also involves keeping work areas clean, following all safety procedures, and collaborating with production and warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow. Qualifications Proficiency in core material handling activities, including material handling and unloading of steel and related products. Experience with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying documentation, inspecting materials, and coordinating outbound shipments. Skills in inventory control, such as counting, tracking, and recording materials accurately in logs or systems. Ability to perform packing tasks, including securing materials, labeling, and preparing loads for safe transport. Prior experience in an industrial, warehouse, or construction environment is preferred. Ability to operate or willingness to learn forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material‑handling equipment (certification is a plus). Capacity to lift and move materials safely, stand for extended periods, and work in varying warehouse or yard conditions.
