Sr. Accountant Full Time Louisville, KY, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1026 Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually About the Role The Senior Accountant at The Marian Group plays a critical role in managing financial operations for the lifespan of their assigned projects. This includes development, construction, operations & disposition. This position ensures accuracy in cost tracking and financial reporting, supports budget and cash flow management, maintains compliance and audit readiness, and partners with project and operational teams to align financial goals with business objectives. The Senior Accountant will also mentor staff accountants, supporting professional development and continuous improvement across the accounting function. This role contributes to the company’s overall financial strategy by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial information. Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Budget & Cash Flow Management: Maintain financial stability across projects. Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Developer Fee & Reimbursement Collection: Optimize cash flow through timely collections. Construction Draw Process Management: Ensure smooth tracking and management of project funding. Monthly Close & Reconciliations: Ensure accurate and timely financial closing. Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements. Collaboration & Team Support: Foster effective teamwork with the accounting team. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR completion of Accounting 101 plus a minimum of 3 years of Accounting Experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Real Estate, Construction, Property Management, or Multi-Company Accounting. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
