TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: All travelers must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam. They should have an RN with ACLS certification. Description: Unit includes a float pool. Common patient diagnoses include CHF, cardiac catheterizations, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic conditions, and oncology. The nurse-to-patient ratio is primarily 1:5-6 for both days and nights, with rare instances of 7 patients towards the end of the shift. Charge nurses are available 24/7, with night charge nurses also taking a patient assignment. Nurse aids are utilized on the unit, performing tasks such as taking blood sugar levels. Respiratory Therapy manages CPAP and BiPap equipment on the unit. Telemetry is available, and nurses are required to read and interpret cardiac strips. Shifts are 12 hours long, with weekend requirements set at every other weekend for both days and nights. Travelers will work holidays as part of the regular rotation schedule. Float pool nurses will report to the clinical coordinator's office prior to their shift for unit assignment. They may float to different units but will be assigned basic telemetry patients within their scope of practice. Travelers will typically have 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor. Royal blue scrubs are the designated color for nurses. Nurses are expected to manage their assignments in accordance with their skill set and hospital protocols.
