Responsibilities Be a trusted member of the team providing various tax, accounting and advisory services to small‑business clients: Oversee and provide services related to accounting, bookkeeping, and prepared or compiled financials. Review and analyze accounting records and/or reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients to discuss accounting and business matters. Deliver best‑in‑class customer service to clients at all times, with an emphasis on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism and accuracy. Lead and plan client engagements, continually evaluating processes and procedures with an emphasis on implementing efficiencies and identifying internal control issues. Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes and business objectives. Manage and build client relationships, serve as a liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients. Effectively delegate and oversee work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery. Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal tax practices and laws. Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met. Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community. Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs. Enjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work‑life balance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable. CPA or JD required. Five (5)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm. Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates. Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management and communication skills. Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and a sense of urgency and quality. Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills. Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is preferred. Compensation The compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
