Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Operations (Memphis, TN)

Main Purpose of the Role The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Operations is responsible for providing comprehensive reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and key analysis to the SVP of Operations and their respective teams. This role ensures the Company maintains integrity and accuracy of its manufacturing operations, financial results, and safeguarding company assets. The position is based out of the Memphis Operations Center, Memphis, TN and operates on a hybrid onsite schedule. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for Manufacturing Operations. Partner with the SVP of Operations to own the capital budget and review/approve capital investment opportunities. Analyze and manage product cost drivers (material, labor, and overhead) with manufacturing and operations leadership. Lead the development of AOP, error‑free forecasts, and long‑term financial plans with end‑to‑end ownership of the process. Define the monthly forecast package and establish steady‑state reporting, obtaining alignment with CAO and VP of Commercial Finance. Establish annual budget and forecast; provide monthly reporting for G&A expenses and COGS for monthly MBRs. Highlight trends, identify variances, and make recommendation for improvements. Provide margin analysis for Surgical and RTPT businesses. Conduct ROI and cost‑benefit analysis for proposed projects, investments, and initiatives. Develop KPI metrics with the Director of Mfg Finance to measure performance and diagnose performance issues. Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies, developing and executing action plans. Maintain compliance with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies, procedures, and internal controls. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance‑related field required. MBA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure preferred. Minimum 5‑7 years of relevant financial and advanced analytics experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing and/or cost accounting setting with proven results. Experience with Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS), Microsoft Excel (advanced), SAP, and SQL or similar technologies. Ability to work through complexity and ambiguous scenarios with an end‑to‑end, results‑driven mindset. Core Competencies Strong sense of urgency and project management expertise.
