About the Role:
As a Deckhand, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our vessels in Milwaukee, WI. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the crew in various tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the boat, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. You will be involved in handling lines, operating deck equipment, and performing routine inspections to maintain the vessel's integrity. This position requires teamwork and communication skills, as you will work closely with other crew members to ensure smooth operations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our passengers and crew alike.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a deckhand or in a similar maritime role.
- Certification in first aid and CPR.
- Familiarity with navigation and marine equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the mooring and unmooring of the vessel.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and equipment checks.
- Operate deck machinery and equipment under the supervision of senior crew members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times.
- Support the crew in emergency drills and respond effectively in case of emergencies.
