Overview

Cambrian Homecare, LLC has been providing compassionate, flexible, and personalized in-home care services since 1996, helping seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities live independently in the comfort of their homes.  

We are seeking a Temporary Authorization Coordinator (6-month assignment) for our corporate office in Long Beach . This position is responsible for entering client information, authorizations and service plans to support Intake and Staffing departments.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm

This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Authorization & Eligibility Management

• Receive and enter new client profiles, authorizations, and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) service plans timely and accurately.
• Complete authorization reports as requested.
• Participate in meetings assigned and/or requested.
• Provide timely responses to emails and teams messages.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate with Intake and Staffing team to coordinate services on all new and changed authorizations immediately.
• Submit and communicate authorization requests or extensions timely according to payer requirements.
• Flag urgent concenrs and collaborate with staffing coordinators, supervisors or other applicable staff to ensure timely follow up.
• Tack and monitor open issues until resolution, ensuring clients are updated and satisfied with outcomes.
• Accurately document all call outcomes, client feedback, and quality indicators in the company's electronic systems.
• Submit required authorization updates via portal or payer specific communication method.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong keyboarding skills with the ability to rapidly and accurately document interactions, enter data, maintain records, and complete required tasks in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Experience in medical billing, insurance verification or prior authorization roles a plus.
• Previous experience in healthcare or home care a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Job Requirements:

• 18+ years old
• US work authorization
• Ability to pass a backround and reference check
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
