Medical Director - Our Organization

The Medical Director is responsible for overseeing participant care, ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes, and leading the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiative. This position involves guiding the development of medical policies, managing Primary Care Providers (PCPs), and working alongside interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the medical components of participant care and oversee medical personnel.
• Create and uphold medical policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide clinical leadership during team meetings and support the care of elderly or frail participants.
• Conduct evaluations, formulate treatment plans, and ensure the provision of preventive health services.
• Oversee the QAPI program to improve clinical quality and safety.
• Engage with families and participants to discuss medical conditions and future care strategies.
• Ensure culturally competent care and facilitate advance care planning.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and promote collaborative decision-making.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active physician license and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (Geriatrics preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
• Experience in a supervisory role is required.
• Current BLS certification and DEA registration.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR).
