Hematologist

Overview Description MaineHealth Cancer Care is seeking a Hematologist to join the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, based at the MaineHealth Cancer Center and Maine Medical Center in Portland. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in an established hematology program to evaluate and treat patients with a range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions. In addition to providing care to local patients, the candidate will participate in an innovative hub and spoke model, partnering via telehealth with advance practice oncology providers at more rural sites in the MaineHealth system. Responsibilities The hematologist will evaluate and treat patients with benign and malignant hematologic conditions and provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care within an integrated system. The role includes participating in the hub-and-spoke telehealth model with rural sites and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Prior experience in benign and/or malignant hematology within an academic health system is preferred Strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary for this position is $430,000-520,000, location dependent.
