Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a private LDRP room setting, supporting a family-centered, skin-to-skin care model where newborns remain with their mothers throughout the stay
• Manage a caseload following established ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplet care
• Circulate in C-section procedures within the OR suite as required
• Utilize the OBIX fetal heart monitoring system and MediTech EMR to document and monitor patient status via centrally monitored GE telemetry
• Administer and monitor high-acuity interventions including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips for applicable patient populations (32 weeks and above; transfers out for higher acuity)
• Float to NICU as needed to support feeders and growers only

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• C-section circulator experience required
• Strong IV insertion and management skills
• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn OBIX fetal monitoring system and MediTech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Labor and Delivery or LDRP setting
• Familiarity with antepartum patient care
