Human Resources Specialist

We’re looking for an HR Representative who wants more than an administrative HR role. This is an opportunity for someone early in their HR career to get broad exposure across employee relations, onboarding, payroll/HRIS, benefits, compliance, recruiting support, and HR operations inside a growing organization. You’ll be the kind of person employees go to with questions, concerns, and day-to-day support needs. You’ll also work closely with HR leadership on projects, process improvements, training coordination, and employee experience initiatives. What You’ll Actually Do Own onboarding and offboarding logistics including orientation, I-9s, paperwork, and exit processes Support employees with HRIS, payroll, and benefits questions Help managers and employees navigate workplace questions and employee relations matters Assist with investigations, documentation, and follow-up as needed Process employee changes including promotions, pay changes, transfers, and status updates in the HRIS Help maintain compliance with employment laws, policies, postings, and documentation requirements Pull and organize HR data including headcount, turnover, and other people metrics Coordinate training logistics and support employee development initiatives Assist with recruiting events, open enrollment, engagement initiatives, and company events Support continuous improvement efforts across HR processes and employee experience What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of HR experience or strong administrative experience with exposure to HR Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and solving problems Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable handling confidential information professionally Clear written and verbal communication skills A self-starter who wants to learn and grow within HR Willingness to travel occasionally between facilities in New England What Makes This Opportunity Different This is not a siloed HR role where you only touch one area of the function.
