Pool Attendant - Part Time

Pool Attendants must maintain a clean and sanitary pool area and ensure that all safety equipment is present at and around the pool area at all times. Job duties include testing and balancing pool chemicals, monitoring and adjusting pool temperature, cleaning and vacuuming the pool, cleaning skimmer baskets, backwashing pool filters, skimming the pool with skimmer as needed, monitoring residents entering and exiting the pool area, ensuring the state capacity is not exceeded, ensuring all posted pool rules are being adhered to, ensuring safety equipment is present and in working order, checking first aid kit for needed supplies on a daily basis, cleaning and maintaining pool bathroom daily, keeping them stocked with supplies and free of standing water, sweeping the pool deck and all surrounding areas daily, straightening pool furniture regularly, ensuring that furniture is clean and in working order at all times, reporting any non-working or damaged furniture to the Community Manager or immediate supervisor, gardening and removing weeds in commons areas as needed, cleaning the clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements include some high school education, being 18 years of age or older, ability to endure seasonal temperatures, flexibility to respond to community needs during non-business hours, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, good verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet, and a valid driver's license. Required certifications/licensures include (Certified Pool Operator (COP), where required by state law).
