Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) – support plasma center operations at BioLife Plasma Services in Webster, TX. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results; notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and administer medical emergencies, develop Center Physician standing orders, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings, medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility concerns. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats. Familiarize with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment; follow guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs and provide center‑level support of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). Qualifications High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98 per hour.
