Job Title Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Columbia University Irving Medical Center Job Summary At NewYork‑Presbyterian Hospital, CRNAs provide patient‑centered anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, and pediatrics. Our team uses advanced technology to achieve the highest surgical success rates and the nation’s lowest mortality. Key Responsibilities Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled, emergency surgeries and diagnostic procedures across the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus. Work with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to support surgical success and patient safety. Provide one‑on‑one anesthesia instruction to students in Columbia University’s Nurse Anesthesia Program. Rotate between NewYork‑Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and Allen Hospital as needed. Maintain flexible scheduling and a balanced caseload to support professional growth and work‑life balance. Preferred Criteria At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP or DNAP). New graduate orientation is available; new graduates encouraged to apply. Required Criteria Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Master of Science in Nursing. Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain). BCLS Certification. ACLS Certification. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $270,000–$335,000 per year, plus a sign‑on bonus. All roles require on‑site presence. Employees must live within a commutable distance to NewYork‑Presbyterian Hospital. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
