Tax Consultant

Managing taxes and using technology to do so is a critical part of business strategy. As a Tax Consultant, you will help clients evaluate the tax implications of complex decisions, support compliance obligations, and use technology-enabled approaches to address business needs. Work you'll do As a Tax Consultant on the Tax team, you will be responsible for supporting client engagements through tax research, analysis, and collaboration. Research tax laws, regulations, and guidance to support technical conclusions Analyze client facts and business decisions to identify tax implications Prepare workpapers, summaries, and recommendations for client deliverables Collaborate with team members to address complex tax issues Manage multiple assignments across clients, industries, and timelines A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Ability to meet deadlines The team Deloitte Tax professionals help clients address tax matters through technical knowledge, process, data, and technology. Qualifications Required: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027 or have completed a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related/equivalent program Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required . You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment The start date for this position will be Summer 2027 or Winter 2028 Preferred: Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Internship, summer position, or school job experience in tax, data analytics, or technology This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates interested in beginning or building a career in this field.
