**Your future role at a glance** + Location: Indianapolis, IN + Facility: Ascension St. Vincent + Department/Specialty: Critical Care Transport + Schedule: Day, Night, 12/24-hour shifts | Full-time **How you'll make an impact in this role** + Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility as part of the transport team in collaboration with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse. + Initiates and implements interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. + Contacts receiving medical personnel, reports observations and follows directives. + Inspects, maintains and cares for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public. + May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies. **What minimum requirements you'll need** **Licensure / Certification / Registration** + Required Credential(s): + One or more of the following: + Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + One or more of the following: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Preferred Credential(s): + Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation. + Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). + Drivers License. + Instructor specializing in Pediatric Adv Life Support . American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
