In the role of Civil Construction Inspector I, we'll count on you to: Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications: Technical school or Associate degree Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection Ability to interpret construction schedules KYTC certifications, other KYTC certifications or the ability to obtain Road and Bridge construction Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
