Managing Architect, Americas Telco - Consulting Services

The Americas Telco Services Delivery Managing Architect is instrumental in guiding technical direction and driving customer success for our most strategic customers. Through the knowledge of the Telco industry and Red Hat technologies, this experienced technical manager ensures the successful delivery of Red Hat Services as part of the overall Red Hat mission. A key focus is the management, orchestration, and mentoring of Architects and Principal Consultants, building out highly functioning teams by crafting career paths and providing technical oversight. You and your team will collaborate with Territory Service Managers to drive the business value of Red Hat Subscriptions through successfully scoping and delivering Red Hat Services Solutions. You are responsible for working with the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Resource Management Office (RMO) to build consistent delivery practices for solutions and support the staffing of Red Hat projects. The role will be able to work in a matrixed organization, collaborating with several teams to ensure proper alignment with Red Hat strategy and customer outcomes. Note: This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws. What you will do: People and Team Development: Manage other Architects and senior level Consultants. People and Team Development: Craft a career path and mentor Principal Consultants and Architects reporting to you, completing Red Hat manager enablement in the process. People and Team Development: Identify and translate team priorities into actionable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that show team progress towards goals. People and Team Development: Assist the RMO with assignment of direct reports for Delivery Engagements and assign necessary technical talent to Pre‑Sales opportunities within their business area. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Apply Red Hat expertise and support the Service Delivery Lifecycle to scope and deliver consulting engagements with our customers successfully. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Design and communicate Enterprise‑level architectural roadmaps for Telco customers. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Run workshops, demos, guide on best practices, and establish communities of practice/excellence at customer sites. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Support strategic Services selling initiatives and opportunities, including executive stakeholder engagement to influence a customer’s adoption of solutions. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Work closely with product business, product engineering, support, and sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Provide technical oversight and a point of escalation between clients and RedHat. Customer Engagement and Strategy: Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities in these engagements for customer success. Delivery and Standards: Develop standard frameworks and methodologies to allow for repeatable Red Hat Consulting pre‑sales and engagements. Delivery and Standards: Drive delivery strategy and models as it relates to Services offerings, solutions and programs. Delivery and Standards: Provide leadership and content towards centers of excellence and promoted standards. Delivery and Standards: Attain in‑depth knowledge of RedHat technologies by taking RedHat enablement and completing learning paths. What you will bring: Team and Leadership: Experience with people management and building out a highly functioning team of consulting experts. Team and Leadership: Leading teams of highly technical talent. Team and Leadership: Experience leading successful technical consulting engagements. Team and Leadership: Demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives, including extensive experience presenting to C‑level executives at large firms. Team and Leadership: Experience with instrumenting, collecting, and radiating development and operational metrics. Industry and Technical Focus: Deep understanding of the Telco space. Industry and Technical Focus: Ability to apply RedHat Solutions to meet the needs of Telco customers. Industry and Technical Focus: Experience in architecting and designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain. Industry and Technical Focus: Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience of enterprise architecture and application runtimes, enterprise container architectures and solutions (RedHat OpenShift or competing technologies), Linux, and deploying and running container solutions in private, public, and hybrid clouds. Industry and Technical Focus: Broad and deep technical experience of RedHat products, including but not limited to: RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Ansible, and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), RedHat OpenStack Platform / Services on OpenShift (RHOSP / RHOSO). General Skills: Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. General Skills: Applied knowledge and experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams. General Skills: Willingness to travel up to 50%. The salary range for this position is $134,050.00 - $221,210.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency RedHat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of RedHat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote‑US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
