divh2Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector/h2pSurestaff is hiring for a Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector for a packaging company in Batavia, IL. This roles primary objectives include providing support to the manufacturing/operations team in the areas of product quality and reliability; maintaining QC documentation files, and using quality techniques to track, analyze and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Both day and overnight schedule options are available | $19.00 $24.00 per hour (based on experience)/ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliIndependently perform in-process inspection, measurement, and testing of finished product and raw material at both company locations./liliAssist in the performance of internal assessments audits to assure compliance with stated procedures and objectives./liliDocument and communicate customer specifications, maintain database and specification folders./liliAssist in the problem analysis and corrective action necessary to address any customer complaints or rejections./liliOversee rework; inspect and audit reworked or resorted material./liliInspect, review and document pouching/converting retain samples./liliMaintain retain log and storage box inventory of print pouching/converting retain samples./liliMaintain and operate all inspection, measurement and testing equipment, including equipment inventory list, calibration and records, and operating procedures./liliResponsible for the organization of the quality lab. Maintain in a clean and orderly condition./liliTrain company employees in procedures/work-instructions, inspection techniques, related laboratory testing, and GMP/Food Safety Program related elements./liliWork on projects, coordinate activities and carry out other job duties as assigned and/or directed./liliEnsure that all company safety and quality assurance procedures are followed. Escalate any issues/concerns to management./liliOther related duties as assigned./li/ulh3Education and Requirements:/h3ulliBasic knowledge of various testing: destructive (functional), in-process (attribute variable) and controlled./liliProactive and able to take initiative./liliQuality critical and continuous improvement mindset able to see the big picture and understand the importance of each step in the quality process./liliEffective problem-solving skills, willing to ask questions about processes and procedures./liliEffective communication skills, both verbal and written.
