Registered Nurse - PICU

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans aligned with unit protocols.
• Administer medication, treatments, and interventions including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements.
• Monitor patient progress using EMR systems and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Educate patients' families about ongoing care needs and procedures.
• Follow infection control policies and ensure a sterile environment.
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Possess minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital PICU experience.
• Maintain BLS and PALS certifications; CRRT and APHON Pediatric experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in pediatric critical care procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Preferred candidates have experience with Meditech/CIS EMR.
