Cleaning Specialist - NorthPointe

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Cleaning Specialist to our NorthPointe Campus! Shift: 3rd Schedule: 9:00p - 5:30a Hours per week: 32 Benefits Status: Eligible Department: Northpointe Environmental Services Responsible for ensuring that guest (patients, members, and clients) of NorthPointe Health and Wellness experience a delightful first impression in terms of greeting, way finding assistance, environmental safety, and cleanliness. NorthPointe Health and Wellness Guest Services Ambassadors will play a fundamental role in establishing and sustaining guest loyalty. Greets each guest in accordance with the Universal Greeting policy. Personally, assists guests in finding their way about the NorthPointe Campus. Identifies and promptly responds to all self-identified safety issues. Maintains the NorthPointe Health and Wellness facility in a sanitary and attractive condition. Establishes and maintains positive and professional working relationships with all employees and physicians at the NorthPointe Campus. Maintains hard surface and carpeted flooring in accordance with manufacturer requirements and management expectations. Performs minor maintenance tasks such as (but not limited to) light bulb replacement. Performs high and low damp and dry dusting of all environmental surfaces. Cleans and sanitizes restroom and hand wash facilities. Keeps restrooms and hand-wash facilities stocked with soap, sanitizer, and paper products. Keeps furniture positioned properly in accordance with furniture placement schedule. Scrubs all tile surfaces with designated chemical system and equipment. Detail cleans restroom and sink/counter fixtures and surfaces. Assists engineering team in whirlpool cleaning, if needed. Deep cleans carpets and upholstered furniture with designated chemicals and equipment. Cleans exercise equipment on fitness floors. Washes folds and stocks guest towels. Using step ladders and/or scaffolding performs high cleaning as assigned. Maintains hardwood floor surfaces according to designated procedures. Keeps all furniture clean including soft seating, wood and metal seating and tables. Sweeps and seasonally shovels facility entrances to assure guest safety (activity coordinated with engineering personnel). Interior vacuuming. Window washing (limited to interior and ground level windows). Uses cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with manufacturer specifications and uses the required PPE in all cases. Maintains all Environmental Services equipment clean and in good repair. Enters work requests into the TMS system for equipment and facility repairs. Collects solid waste from generation points within the facility and from outside trash receptacles. Disposes of solid waste in the dock compactor unit. Uses prescribed methods and adheres to established schedules for wet or dry carpet cleaning. Spot cleans carpet and upholstered furniture as needed. Uses prescribed methods and adheres to established schedules for hard surface flooring maintenance, refurbishing and refinishing. Responds to non-hazardous material spills promptly. Trash collection. Performs the necessary functions to prepare, maintain and clean up the work area to ensure cleanliness and safety. Attends seminars, classes and in-services to improve and expand skills. Orders cleaning equipment and supplies through the Beloit Health System supply chain system established for NorthPointe. Job Requirements High school graduate or GED preferred, not required. Experience in environmental maintenance is desired. Must successfully complete job skills training checklist. CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Ability to effectively communicate is required. Ability to problem solve. Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple demands. Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about guests, patients, and clients. Adhere to established hospital policies, rules, and regulations.
