Exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role. You'll assist customers, process purchases, maintain clean and well-stocked cases, and support daily store operations.While you may work across different areas of the store, you may also be primarily scheduled in the Produce Department, helping ensure our produce is fresh, abundant, and of the highest quality for our customers.This position reports to the department manager you are scheduled with and is overseen by the Store Manager. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & SalesfloorProvide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and assist with product questions.Process transactions efficiently, accurately, and professionally.Handle cash safely and complete register paperwork accurately.Maintain clean, organized checkout and sales areas.Stock and rotate products, ensuring accurate pricing and placement.Assist with returns following company policy.Perform cleaning tasks, including spills, shelves, coolers, and counters.Produce DepartmentStock, rotate, and maintain produce shelves to ensure freshness and abundance.Cull produce throughout the day to maintain quality.Prep and crisp produce according to health and safety standards.Hydrate wet rack produce consistently.Complete cleaning tasks as directed by the Produce Manager.Requirements & SkillsCertification: Food Service Manager Certification (within 90 days of hire).Customer Service Skills: Friendly, respectful, and enthusiastic when assisting customers.Communication Skills: Ability to listen, ask questions, and follow clear instructions.Professionalism: Positive attitude, willingness to accept feedback, and commitment to teamwork.Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Physical RequirementsLift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.Work primarily indoors (climate-controlled), with occasional outdoor exposure.Work in coolers often and freezers occasionally.Stand, twist, and walk frequently; sit, squat, or kneel occasionally; climb rarely.Benefits401(k) with company matchingHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offEmployee discounts (store and Blossom Bar)Flexible schedulingSupplemental bonus payEmployee co-op and incentive programsNote: Some benefits may have waiting periods and/or apply to full-time employees only.What We OfferBe part of a family-owned business with deep roots in Louisville's health and wellness community.Grow your career in a collaborative, positive, and supportive environment.Participate in fun staff events and community initiatives.Make a real difference every day-this isn't just a job, it's a community.EEO Statement Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Markets & Wellness Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
