As a Security Officer Front Desk Visitor Processing in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in an educational setting, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your professional presence will help support a secure, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Tue 10:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Wed 10:30 AM - 06:00 PM
Thur 10:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Fri 10:30 AM - 08:00 PM
Sat 10:30 AM - 05:00 PM
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records.
- Monitor access to the educational location, observe lobby activity and incoming communications, and report unusual or unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
- Assist with directing guests, answering general questions, and supporting a welcoming, orderly environment at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
