Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry, specializing in valve timing controls for cars. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC lathes and mills within a production environment. You will ensure the quality of parts through regular checks and perform necessary maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a line of 3-5 CNC machines.
• Perform quality checks using plug gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance tasks, including basic cleaning, changing coolant/oil, and greasing.
• Handle minor tool changes, such as changing an insert or bar in a lathe.
• Make necessary offsets and adjustments to machines.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of CNC operating experience.
• 1 year of experience with quality tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Experience performing offsets and adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of decimals.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature controlled, though it can get warm near the machines. Fans are provided, and steel-toe shoes are required. All other personal protective equipment, including earplugs and safety glasses, is provided. Initial training for all shifts is conducted Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 5:30 pm for 4-6 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loganville, GA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Loganville,GA.
