Accounts Payable Specialist

We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist in our T iffin, OH location. The primary role of an Accounts Payable Specialist  is to handle the financial processing of transactions to ensure vendors are paid for services and products rendered.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the AP Manager with daily EFT payment processing.


• Prepare invoices for payment.


• Prepare reports and documentation required by the Finance Team.


• Maintain supplier payment records and ensure all supplier requirements are completed accurately and timely.


• Enter various types of vendor credits provided by Vendor Relations on a weekly basis.


• Review credits received by mail to determine eligibility, and accurately record all applicable credits in the system.


• Provide backup support for ProKey by entering supplier invoices received via mail and email.


• Scan and process documents in ProKey.


• Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily.


• Prepare checks for mailing by folding, processing through the postage meter, and ensuring they are ready for daily mail pickup.


• Performs all other duties as assigned.

What You will Need to be Successful:

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Minimum of 1-year experience in Accounts Payable or related field.


• Positive attitude with good organizational skills and attention to detail are required.


• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.


• Work cooperatively with a number of departments throughout all locations.


• Must have excellent communication skills, able to multi task and be forward thinking.


• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
