Recovery Residential Specialist

Position: Recovery Residential Specialist (RRS) Location: Aster House, 51 Old Lyman Road, South Hadley, MA 01075, USA Responsibilities Provide direct services to program clients that live in a group home setting in the community. Support clients' activities of daily living, administer medications as needed, advocate for individuals within various community settings. Provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery. Develop professional and supportive relationships with clients and provide informal counseling and guidance with a person-centered focus. Qualifications High level of emotional intelligence and understanding of people living with addiction, mental illness, and in recovery. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; strong interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needs; ability to work well within a team model and independently. Computer skills necessary. Must have a vehicle for work use and a current driver's license; ability to complete medication administration training. All candidates must complete and pass a background record screening process. Preferred CPR certification (current), First Aid certification (current), Medication Administration certification (current). High school diploma or better.
