Combines CAD/CAM design with small batch, mixed production hands-on machining using CNC milling and slant bed lathes, welding, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues. Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams on improvements and projects.ResponsibilitiesExperience with CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Mastercam, etc.Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC(Hurco) machining equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, etc.)Ability to design and produce parts to precise specifications.Create and send component drawings to 3rd party machining as needed.Experience in small batch, mixed production environments.Perform welding and cutting as neededFabricate and modify equipment, guards, and fixtures as neededPartner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations on equipment improvementsSupport equipment installations, startups, and modificationsDocument work in CMMS (maintenance management system)Assist with continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiativesQualificationsTechnical degree, apprenticeship in machining or related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.Required SkillsAbility to design and machine end-to-end.CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar.Experience with manual and CNCExperience with welding and general fabricationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with CMMS systems is a plus
