The Opportunity

Join us as a Security Systems Service Technician. You’ll handle installation, maintenance, and repair of surveillance and digital recording systems, electronic access control, security, and intercom devices, along with related devices. This role delivers high-quality field work on complex projects for commercial, industrial, government, and critical infrastructure clients across Southern California. What You'll Do

• Respond to service calls; diagnose, repair, and restore: IP cameras, VMS/NVRs, access control panels/controllers, readers, sensors, intercoms, turnstiles, and low-voltage systems. 
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuits (up to 120VAC), electrified door hardware, PoE/network drops, power supplies, and backup batteries; perform device tests. 
• Program & configure VMS/access control controllers; update firmware as required; validate device addressing and controller configs. 
• Read/interpret security drawings, risers, redlines, and device schedules; maintain accurate service documentation and daily reports. 
• Execute work safely and on schedule; adhere to QA/QC, code, and manufacturer requirements. 
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines, maintain safe work practices, and operate scissor/boom lifts (certification required or willingness to obtain).
• Travel across Southern California; occasional out-of-state assignments.

What You Bring: Required Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on servicing/integrating IP video, access control, and low-voltage systems 
• Strong understanding of low voltage products, security drawings, device addressing, and applicable state/federal codes 
• Skilled in terminating Cat6/low-voltage cabling and installing electrified door hardware; circuit testing 
• Valid CA driver’s license; clean driving record; able to pass background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Scissor and Boom Lift certification (or willingness to obtain)

Working Conditions: M-F

• On-call rotation (one week per month)
• Overtime
• Weekends or second shift
• Other duties as assigned
