Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) | Night Shift

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Projected Start: September 21, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed CVICU managing a high-acuity patient population, including cardiothoracic and vascular surgery cases
• Manage vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, and invasive central lines as part of routine critical care
• Oversee ventilator management for critically ill patients
• Support and monitor patients on ECMO, including participation in an active ECMO program with multiple concurrent patients
• Assist with or support bedside procedures including chest tube placement, central line placement, bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy
• Float to other Critical Care units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Florida or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Demonstrated critical care competencies including vasoactive infusions, arterial line management, invasive central line care, and ventilator management
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work every other weekend or three weekend shifts per month as scheduled
• Royal blue scrubs required per facility dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiothoracic surgery experience
• Cardiology experience, including familiarity with Impella-assisted high-risk PCI or cardiogenic shock programs
• Experience with ECMO patient management
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system and Alaris pumps
