Registered Nurse

We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women’s Intake Center at the Iowa Department of Corrections. The position offers competitive pay, a $3,000 sign‑on bonus, and a 10‑hour shift schedule with 2–3 consecutive days off. Available shifts are 1pm‑11pm and 9pm‑7am, with days off including every other weekend. Key Responsibilities Perform patient and staff health appraisals and conduct health clinics. Perform physical examinations, document patient visits, and assist in patient record management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to address patient needs, including mental health interventions and medication administration. Respond to medical emergencies and provide hands‑on care and support. Maintain and prepare medical supplies, assist with lab services (e.g., UA’s, EKGs), and support telemedicine and x‑ray services. Ensure proper medication administration, accountability, and documentation following institutional policies.
