As SAP ALM Consultant you are the senior functional specialist keeping those systems stable, coordinating releases with precision, and making sure the platform continuously improves alongside the business.This is not a passive support role. You are a senior anchor in a cross-functional team - diagnosing complex incidents, coordinating software releases end to end, and advising stakeholders on everything from functional design to long-term improvement roadmaps. You connect the dots between business operations, IT delivery, and external vendors.You are a senior SAP specialist who takes ownership naturally. You know the functional landscape well enough to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and find the structural fix rather than the quick patch. You are just as comfortable briefing a business stakeholder as you are digging into a release log with a developer. You are calm under pressure, precise in your communication, and driven by continuous improvement - not just keeping the lights on.You BringExperience5+ years of functional support experience within SAP environmentsHands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EAM, PS, DMS, SAP Service and Asset Manager, and/or SAP Field Service ManagementExperience coordinating software releases and executing functional testingBackground in incident management, root cause analysis, and working with external suppliersExperience in an asset-intensive sector (energy, utilities, infrastructure, or manufacturing) is a plusKnowledge and ExpertiseStrong understanding of SAP functional modules within an asset management and field operations contextFamiliarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and toolingUnderstanding of release management, change management, and quality assurance principlesKnowledge of relevant compliance and authorisation frameworksAwareness of integration patterns between SAP and adjacent systemsSkills and CompetenciesAnalytical and structured - you spot patterns, prioritise well, and bring clarity to complexityStrong communicator in both English and Dutch - able to adapt your message to developers, business stakeholders, and management alikeOwnership mindset - you act without waiting to be askedCollaborative - you build bridges between teams, roles, and perspectivesContinuous improvement focus - you are always looking for the smarter, more sustainable solutionEducationBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related discipline - or equivalent demonstrated experienceYou will join a cross-functional product and operations team at E9 level, working on SAP systems that are central to Eneco's day-to-day operations.
