Analyst Corporate Accounting

Job Type Full‑time Hybrid This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring two days in the office at our Schaumburg, IL location and three days remote per week. The in‑office days are subject to business needs. Candidates must be able to commute to the office as required. Position Overview The Analyst – Corporate Accounting will be a key member of the team with responsibilities that include posting journal entries and preparing monthly balance sheet account analyses, assisting the accounting team in other month‑end activities and special projects as needed. The position requires independent work and effective communication with the team for accurate and timely month‑end reporting. Primary Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and balance sheet analysis with reconciliation to the general ledger on monthly and quarterly basis Conduct independent review of some journal entries and account analyses Manage accounting areas such as fixed assets, payroll, revenue, cash and prepaid transactions Support topics such as revenue recognition and billing operations Lead special projects involving accounting, analysis, reporting or operating aspects of the company Ensure processes are executed in a timely and accurate manner, including the monthly close account analysis Maintain compliance with internal controls Execute other accounting duties as assigned Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a large corporation or public accounting firm Experience in general accounting duties, account reconciliations, and general ledger Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Self‑motivated, ownership of assignments, and ability to work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet time constraints Detail oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize work accurately with numbers Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods (7–8 hours per day) Use of computer and phone systems; ability to operate multiple software programs simultaneously Equal Opportunity Paylocity is an equal‑opportunity employer and is committed to the full inclusion of all individuals. Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this position is $54,500 – $80,000 per year; final offer depends on experience and qualifications.
