Force Measurement Sales Specialist - Midsouth

In this role you will use your experience and drive to build enduring customer relationships through excellent service. You will be accountable for sales of ABB's Force Measurements product portfolio that consists of tension systems for the pulp and paper industry, rolling mill force sensors, industrial weighing systems for melt shops, mining and miscellaneous industrial applications, driving sales volumes and margins. Preferred home location: Hybrid role with 50-70% travel requirement. Bowling Green, KY Louisville, KY Lexington, KY Nashville, TN Knoxville, TN Charlotte, NC Your role and responsibilities Develop and increase sales of Force Measurement in assigned territories. Collaborate with engineering team to develop customized solutions for FM product. Collaborate with other departments to prepare bids, gather technical specifications and financial accuracy. Work with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities. Understand the customers' needs and ABB's solutions to determine effective solutions. Monitor customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities. Ability and willingness to travel 50-70% in assigned territory for customer visits and presentations. Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree and 8+ years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and 12+ years of experience. Applicable job experience in sales, sales support, maintenance or operations is required. Knowledge or understanding of mechanical and electrical industrial equipment is required. Knowledge and understanding of automation or process control in either the Paper or Metals market is preferred. The proven ability to develop and manage customer accounts, along with a team-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills. Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Choice between two dental plan options: Core and Core Plus. Vision benefit. Company paid life insurance (2X base pay). Company paid AD&D (1X base pay). Voluntary life and AD&D – 100% employee paid up to maximums. Short Term Disability – up to 26 weeks, Company paid. Long Term Disability – 60% of pay, Company paid; ability to buy‑up to 66 ⅔ % of pay. Supplemental benefits – 100% employee paid (Accident insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness, pet insurance). Parental Leave – up to 6 weeks. Employee Assistance Program. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy. This position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually and is bonus eligible.
