busy Broward County consumer rights law firm is hiring a Junior Consumer Defense Litigation Associate. Duties and Responsibilities Preparation, review, and approval of all case pleadings. Handle all aspects of litigation including filing pleadings, discovery, and motions. Attendance at motion calendar hearings, mediations, conciliation conferences, depositions, and non-jury trials. Provide clients with updates and meet with clients to discuss their case. Other duties and special litigation projects as assigned. Qualifications Juris Doctorate - Member in good standing of the Florida Bar. General Competency Factors Must demonstrate a sense of urgency. Diligent with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance. Must have critical “out of the box” thinking and problem-solving skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Ability to manage and prioritize large caseload. Have excellent organizational skills, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Ability to multitask & prioritize tasks. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills & effectively communicates with clients. Provide exceptional customer service. Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary.
