Job Category Packaging Department Employee Type Full-Time Non-Exempt Required Degree NONE Manage Others No Description Job Title: Packaging Team Member Department: Production Reports To: Packaging Lead / Production Manager Works Closely With: Packaging Lead and Distribution/Fulfillment Team FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Packaging Team Member is responsible for accurately completing labeling, stickering, and related secondary packaging activities for RUO products. This is a hands-on production role focused on applying the correct product and client-specific stickers, maintaining accurate labeling records, and ensuring each sticker is matched to the correct product lot or batch. The Packaging Team Member works under the direction of the Packaging Lead and Production Manager and supports the Ready-to-Allocate process by printing stickers, applying stickers and labels, maintaining lot separation, completing required logs, and reporting any labeling or inventory discrepancies before product advances to the next stage. Key Responsibilities Ready-to-Allocate Packaging Support Complete assigned Ready-to-Allocate packaging tasks based on daily direction from the Packaging Lead or Production Manager. Receive assigned product and verify product identity, quantity, lot/batch information, and required packaging instructions before beginning work. Apply required stickers, labels, cap identifiers, and other assigned secondary packaging components to RUO products. Maintain organized separation of products, lots, clients, stickers, labels, and packaging components throughout each packaging run. Notify the Packaging Lead or Production Manager of shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, incorrect stickers, or other issues before continuing the run. Packaging & Labeling Perform hands-on labeling, stickering, and other assigned secondary packaging activities for RUO products. Package products according to work orders, established specifications, and applicable white-label client requirements. Maintain clear physical separation between different products, lots/batches, clients, and labeling materials to prevent mix-ups. Cross-reference completed work against the work order and assigned lot/batch information before product advances to the next stage. Label & Sticker Printing Print approved product labels and stickers for RUO products and white-label client brands as assigned. Before printing or applying stickers, verify the correct client, product, artwork or sticker version, lot/batch information, and required quantity. Log each sticker or label printing run on the required paper or electronic log, including the applicable product and lot/batch information. Maintain control of printed stickers and labels and ensure unused, incorrect, or excess materials are handled according to established procedures. Documentation & Recordkeeping Complete required paper and electronic records for assigned labeling, stickering, and packaging activities. Document which stickers or labels were used for each product lot/batch to maintain traceability. Cross-reference labeling records, work orders, and physical product to confirm the correct sticker is being applied to the correct lot/batch. Record required quantities, completed counts, and packaging activities accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure physical product counts and completed labeling quantities match assigned documentation. Immediately stop and escalation incorrect labels, lot/batch mismatches, count discrepancies, damaged product, or documentation errors to the Packaging Lead or Production Manager. Do not advance or continue work on product when labeling information cannot be verified. Packaging Accuracy & Lot Control Verify product identity and lot/batch information before beginning each packaging or labeling run. Confirm the sticker or label being used matches the assigned product, client, and lot/batch before application. Perform periodic checks during the run to ensure the correct labeling materials continue to be used on the correct product. Maintain accurate counts of completed product and labeling materials used during assigned work. Keep completed and incomplete product clearly separated and identified during the packaging process. Present completed work and required documentation to the Packaging Lead or designated supervisor for verification before transfer or advancement. Team Support & Communication Follow daily work priorities and assignments provided by the Packaging Lead or Production Manager. Support packaging activities including label printing, stickering, capping, cap changes, heat sealing, paper packaging, and other secondary packaging tasks as assigned. Maintain accuracy, productivity, cleanliness, and adherence to established packaging procedures. Follow training and instructions related to label handling, lot/batch verification, documentation, product counts, and applicable systems. Communicate labeling needs, material shortages, discrepancies, or workflow issues to the Packaging Lead promptly. Coordinate with other packaging team members to keep products, lots, clients, and packaging materials properly separated. Maintain clean and organized work areas and return labeling and packaging materials to their designated locations. Escalate quality concerns, equipment issues, damaged materials, or unclear work instructions before proceeding. Maintain accurate physical counts of product and packaging materials during assigned activities. Verify product identity, lot/batch information, stickers, labels, and other assigned packaging components before use. Ensure white-label RUO products receive the correct client-specific stickers and labels. Maintain accurate and timely logs showing which labeling materials were printed and used for each applicable lot/batch. Follow required procedures for handling printed labels, unused labels, excess labels, and labeling waste. Maintain alignment between the physical product, work order, labeling documentation, and assigned lot/batch information. Support traceability by ensuring labeling and packaging records clearly identify the product and lot/batch associated with the work performed. Qualifications Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, production, fulfillment, inventory, or a related environment preferred. Previous lead or team-coordination experience is not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work orders, labeling instructions, and documentation requirements. Comfortable learning and using label-printing software, ERP or inventory systems, and other production systems as required. Ability to accurately verify product identity, counts, lot/batch information, stickers, labels, and packaging requirements. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to keep multiple products, lots, and labeling materials properly separated. Ability to perform repetitive hands-on packaging and labeling work while maintaining accuracy and consistency. Scope & Reporting The Packaging Team Member operates under the direction of the Packaging Lead and Production Manager and supports daily RUO packaging and Ready-to-Allocate activities. This role is responsible for hands-on stickering and labeling, sticker printing, lot/batch cross-referencing, documentation, count accuracy, packaging support, and maintaining traceability of labeling materials used on RUO products. The Packaging Team Member does not have team-lead, batch release, deviation disposition, document approval, or independent inventory-transfer authority. Discrepancies, quality concerns, incorrect labeling, or other matters requiring disposition must be escalated to the Packaging Lead, Production Manager, or appropriate Quality/Operations personnel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
