Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our District Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across all district campuses. Your work ensures a safe, healthy, and comfortable learning environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, RTUs, split systems, and exhaust fans.
• Preventative Care: Perform routine inspections and seasonal maintenance (filter changes, belt replacements, coil cleaning) to extend equipment life and improve efficiency.
• Controls Management: Operate and monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) to adjust temperatures and schedules.
• Compliance: Maintain accurate records of repairs, refrigerant usage, and work orders in accordance with EPA regulations and district policy.
• Emergency Response: Respond to urgent climate control issues or indoor air quality concerns in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: Valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification is required.
• Experience: Proven experience in commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance (school district experience is a plus).
• Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (crawl spaces, mechanical rooms).

Pay Scale will be determined by years of experience.
