L&D RN – Job Summary:

Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments, reassessments, pain assessments, and develop/revise individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications safely according to the five rights and patient condition.
• Provide patient/family education and support throughout the care process.
• Perform clinical and technical nursing skills within scope of practice.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, care coordination, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide age-appropriate care and address psychosocial, cultural, and family needs.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed.
• Maintain required annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose testing.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year L&D RN experience – Required.
• Postpartum and nursery experience – Required.
• ACLS – AHA – Required.
• BLS – AHA – Required.
• NRP – Required.
• BSN – Preferred.
• Active Ohio or Compact RN license at submission.
• Current AHA certifications required at start.
• Resume and skills checklist completed within the past year.
• If COVID vaccinated, provide vaccination card.

Certifications:  

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP

License:  

• Active Ohio or Compact RN License.
