About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean for its School of Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, responsible for providing strategic direction and administration of graduate education in alignment with the institution's mission and strategic plan. This role involves fostering the growth and reputation of graduate programs, supporting interdisciplinary research, and enhancing the graduate student experience. The Dean will also be tasked with overseeing the budget and resources of the School, ensuring compliance with academic and regulatory standards, and leading initiatives to advance the school's goals. Collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and external partners is essential, as is a commitment to shared governance and the highest standards of integrity. Applicants for the Dean position must hold a terminal degree in a relevant academic field and have a minimum of 5 years' of administrative and leadership experience in a higher education setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graduate education, including experience in teaching, mentoring, and research. Preferred qualifications include a record of accomplishment in teaching, service, and research, as well as a commitment to innovation, diversity, and inclusion. The Dean should be adept at fostering partnerships, engaging in fundraising, and have a solid understanding of higher education finance and resource management. Core competencies for the role include the ability to articulate a strategic vision, foster collaborations, and effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
